30 New Year Journalling Prompts To Start 2020 With Clarity
The New Year is a powerful time of the year for taking some solitude to reflect, declutter, take stock and release anything no longer needed. We can use this time of the year to understand the highs, lows, blocks, and beliefs that both hindered and helped us during 2019. In order to invite in new possibilities and goals for the New Year, we must create space first through identifying what we learned, and what we want to let go of. We can create space by shining light on old patterns, understanding where they came from, and how to create new ones that support us.
Journalling is a powerful way to declutter the mind and release anything that wants to be cleared. From this place we often experience realisations which cultivates a greater sense of clarity. When we check in with journalling often, we cultivate a deeper relationship with our inner world. Often it just takes a few good journalling prompts to get started.
It’s important not to judge what wants to be written, and to honour that sometimes information or emotion can be cleared from the subconscious mind that our conscious brain doesn’t understand or know how to comprehend. Be kind, and allow yourself to clear whatever needs to come through.
It can be helpful to find a space that you will be uninterrupted, and perhaps make a tea or light a candle to create a relaxing environment for your journalling practice. A little journalling each day can go a long way!
